Units Scale

For the Chicken:

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Caesar Dressing:

1/4 cup mayonnaise

1 teaspoon anchovy paste (optional)

1 garlic clove, minced

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Sandwich:

2 fresh croissants (store-bought or homemade)

2 cups chopped romaine lettuce

1 tomato, thinly sliced

Extra Parmesan shavings (for garnish)

Optional: A handful of croutons for added crunch

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:

    • Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and lemon juice.
    • Drizzle with olive oil and grill over medium-high heat for about 6-8 minutes per side until fully cooked.
    • Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes before slicing thinly.
  • Make the Caesar Dressing:

    • In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, anchovy paste (if using), minced garlic, grated Parmesan, lemon juice, and Worcestershire sauce.
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well until smooth.
  • Assemble the Sandwich:

    • Slice the croissants in half horizontally.
    • Layer the bottom half with chopped romaine lettuce, sliced tomato, and the grilled chicken slices.
    • Drizzle a generous amount of Caesar dressing over the filling.
    • Sprinkle extra Parmesan shavings and add croutons if desired.
    • Top with the other half of the croissant.

  • Serve:

    • Serve immediately while the croissant is fresh and the chicken is warm. Enjoy as a hearty lunch or a light dinner.

Notes

  • For an extra flavor boost, you can marinate the chicken for 30 minutes before grilling.
  • The chicken can also be baked if a grill isn’t available.
  • Adjust the Caesar dressing ingredients to your personal taste preferences.
  • This sandwich is best enjoyed fresh, but you can pack leftovers in an airtight container for up to a day.
