- 1 1/2 cups Chin Chin crumbs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup lime juice
- 1 tablespoon lime zest
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine the Chin Chin crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie pan to form the crust.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
- In another bowl, whisk together the lime juice, lime zest, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour the lime mixture into the cooled crust.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly firm to the touch.
- Allow the pie to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Optional: Garnish with whipped cream or lime slices before serving.
Notes
- For a tangier flavor, increase the amount of lime juice and zest.
- Ensure the pie is fully chilled before serving for best texture.
- You can substitute the Chin Chin crust with a traditional graham cracker crust if preferred.
