Description

A refreshing twist on the classic lime pie, combining a crispy Chin Chin crust with a creamy lime filling.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Chin Chin crumbs
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the Chin Chin crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a pie pan to form the crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven and set aside to cool.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the lime juice, lime zest, sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth.
  5. Pour the lime mixture into the cooled crust.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the filling is set and slightly firm to the touch.
  7. Allow the pie to cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
  8. Optional: Garnish with whipped cream or lime slices before serving.
