Description

A sweet and salty treat, these chocolate chip cookies are made with potato chips for a crunchy twist and topped with marshmallow fluff for extra sweetness.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup crushed potato chips
  • 1/2 cup marshmallow fluff

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and crushed potato chips.
  7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are still soft.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Once cooled, spread a small amount of marshmallow fluff on top of each cookie.

Notes

  • The potato chips provide a salty contrast to the sweet chocolate chips, creating a perfect balance of flavors.
  • For extra texture, you can add more crushed potato chips on top of the cookies before baking.
  • Make sure the cookies are fully cooled before adding the marshmallow fluff, as it will melt if applied to warm cookies.
