Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage, crumbled
  • 1 cup asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the ravioli according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the crumbled sausage and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
  4. Add the asparagus and peas to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  6. Stir in the Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Add the cooked ravioli to the skillet and toss gently to coat in the creamy sauce.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.

  • If you prefer a lighter version, you can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or a non-dairy cream alternative.
