Scale
- 12 oz ravioli (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 lb Italian sausage, crumbled
- 1 cup asparagus, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the ravioli according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the crumbled sausage and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Add the asparagus and peas to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the cooked ravioli to the skillet and toss gently to coat in the creamy sauce.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
Notes
- If you prefer a lighter version, you can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or a non-dairy cream alternative.
- Try using a different type of sausage, like chicken sausage, for a leaner option.
