- 2 cups heavy cream
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips, melted
- 1 cup whipped cream (for topping)
- 1/2 cup chocolate shavings or sprinkles (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix as per the package instructions, bake, and let it cool.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar until smooth.
- Add the cocoa powder and vanilla extract, then fold in the melted chocolate chips.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form and fold it into the cheesecake mixture.
- Cut the cooled chocolate cake into cubes.
- Layer the trifle by adding cake cubes, followed by cheesecake mixture, and repeat until the bowl is filled.
- Top with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings or sprinkles.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
