Description

A delicious homemade Mexican pizza with a crispy crust, seasoned ground beef, fresh toppings, and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pizza crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup refried beans
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped onions
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapenos (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro (for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat and stir in taco seasoning. Set aside.
  3. Spread a thin layer of refried beans on the pizza crust, followed by a layer of salsa.
  4. Top with seasoned ground beef, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella cheese.
  5. Bake the pizza for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the crust is crispy.
  6. Remove from the oven and add chopped tomatoes, onions, black olives, and jalapenos (if using) on top of the pizza.
  7. Garnish with cilantro and serve with a dollop of sour cream, if desired.

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey or chicken as a healthier alternative to ground beef.
  • Feel free to customize the toppings with other Mexican ingredients like avocado, corn, or shredded lettuce.
  • For extra spice, add more jalapenos or a drizzle of hot sauce.
