- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup water (adjust as needed)
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, sesame seeds, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Make a well in the center and add the olive oil and water. Mix until the dough comes together. If needed, add more water a tablespoon at a time.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and roll it out thinly to about 1/8-inch thick.
- Using a knife or pizza cutter, cut the dough into desired cracker shapes.
- Place the crackers on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden and crisp.
- Remove from the oven and allow the crackers to cool completely before serving.
Notes
- For a flavor variation, try adding herbs like rosemary or thyme to the dough.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week for maximum freshness.
- If you prefer a lighter cracker, use whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour.
