These lazy chocolate chip cookie bars are a fuss-free twist on the classic chocolate chip cookie. Ingredients
Wet Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 large egg
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients:
• 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
Add-ins:
• 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat & Prep:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

Mix Wet Ingredients:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.

Combine Dry Ingredients:
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

Mix & Fold:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just incorporated.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.

- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is set.

Cool & Serve:
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into 12 squares.
- Enjoy at room temperature for the best chewy texture.
Notes
For extra decadence, sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top before baking.
