Description

A quick and easy tuna salad made with canned tuna, fresh vegetables, and a creamy dressing, perfect for a light lunch or side dish.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 can (5 oz) tuna in oil or water, drained
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sweet corn (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Mixed greens (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Stir well to combine.
  2. Add the chopped red onion, celery, and sweet corn (if using) to the tuna mixture and stir again until evenly distributed.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve immediately on its own or on a bed of mixed greens, or refrigerate for 30 minutes to chill before serving.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, you can substitute the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like cucumber, bell peppers, or olives for more flavor.
