Description

Ingredients

  • 1 thin pizza crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 150g (5 oz) spicy Italian sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/3 cup sliced pepperoncini (mild or hot, to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
  2. Place the thin crust on a baking sheet or pizza peel if using a stone.
  3. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the crust.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
  5. Evenly distribute the cooked spicy sausage and sliced pepperoncini.
  6. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes if desired for extra heat.
  7. Drizzle with olive oil.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden and crisp.
  9. Remove from oven, garnish with fresh basil if using, slice, and serve hot.
